Have you been following along with all of our easy trifle recipes? This is just one of many dessert trifle recipes on my blog. Trifle is our favorite dessert, especially in the summer or for special occasions. This French Toast Trifle makes any breakfast fun and fancy. It’s an easy brunch recipe too.
This French Toast Breakfast Trifle is another of Sweet Teen’s kitchen creations. (Yes, we are so obsessed with trifle that we’ll eat it for breakfast.) We have a local restaurant called Kneaders that she loves. They have a delicious french toast breakfast that everyone raves about. So she decided to recreate this recipe in our own kitchen–with a twist. You’d be surprised how much a little whipped cream can spice up a common breakfast food and also how fancy trifle for breakfast seems. This French toast breakfast trifle is simple but elegant, perfect for a fancy brunch at a party or for Christmas morning breakfast, or just any day that you want to copycat Kneaders french toast.

How to Make French Toast Breakfast Trifle
- Crack the eggs and place them in a medium sized bowl.
2. Pour in some cinnamon sugar to the egg mixture, and beat it with the fork until it is a brown color.
3. For this recipe you will want fluffy bread cut in thick slices. We used Texas Toast, and it works very well. White bread will taste best, but for a healthier option you could use wheat bread.
4. Dip a piece of Texas Toast into the eggs on both sides. Don’t soak it too long, but make sure there’s plenty of egg on there.
5. Place the toast onto a greased skillet on medium heat. Cook until the bread is toasted and eggs are cooked through. You may have to adjust the heat so that the inside and outside of bread can cook evenly.
6. Whip some cream and add sugar. Slice some fresh strawberries, and cut the french toast into square chunks. (Try not to smash it- kitchen scissors work great.) You will need some maple syrup as well, natural is always best.
7. Start layering the ingredients, starting with the maple syrup, then the french toast, the strawberries and whipped cream.
8. To make it look pretty, place some strawberries on the edge and on top with a plop of whipped cream.
Now you have a gorgeous (and not to mention super delicious) breakfast!
