Rainbow Crafts for Kids

I’m sitting here with winter still very much on my doorstep.  As I look outside I can still see traces of snow and the wind is blowing.  I decided it’s time for some spring and summer crafts for kids.  It’s time brighten things up around here.  So today I’m sharing with you 4 different rainbow crafts for kids to make.  I mean, who doesn’t love a bright rainbow?  Rainbow crafts are so cheerful and they work for St. Patrick’s Day, for spring and Easter, and they are even fun to do in the summer.

I love a good rainbow, don’t you?  Be sure to get my FREE PRINTABLE RAINBOW TEMPLATE for these crafts at the bottom of this post!

We used to make these tissue paper crafts (or crepe paper crafts) in elementary school.  Anyone else remember these?  I’ve showed you how to make tissue paper crafts before, so you can check that out (it has a video to get an even better idea).

Materials you will need:

6-7 sheets of gift tissue paper, in colors of the rainbow (like these here)

Free printable rainbow template (at bottom of this post)

craft glue

scissors

pencil with a good eraser

Cut your gift tissue paper into strips and then into 1-2 inch squares.  You can do this quickly by cutting them all at once.  The squares do not need to be perfect.  A rough square shape works just fine.  Be sure to use different colors of tissue paper, obviously the colors of the rainbow will be the best.

How to make tissue paper crafts

Pinch and twist single square of tissue paper around a pencil eraser. Repeat with the other pieces of colored tissue paper.

Apply a dot of glue to the flat end of the twisted pieces of tissue paper and stick them to the rainbow printable.

Apply a dot of glue to each of the pom poms. Place them on the printable template in rainbow order. Apply a dot of glue to each of the cotton balls and place them on the rainbow template as clouds.  You can also just draw a line with the glue on the paper and just let the kids place the pom poms on the glue line.

We saw Holes (which we love!) but there are many others to choose from. Our menu had a fun drinks, appetizers, main course, sides, and dessert. I left satisfied and had a fun time with my hubby and our friends.

Purchase tickets online. Seating is first come, first served so arrive early if you want a certain seat (though there isn’t a bad seat at all). Let me know if you try this!

Definitely full of kid vibes but adults will like it too. A who-dun-it mystery. We laughed out loud a lot more than we expected!

Are you wondering if the Thanksgiving Point Festiv Are you wondering if the Thanksgiving Point Festival is worth visiting this year? Here’s a look at what we saw today.

We’ve had a lot of up and down weather so I wasn’t surprised to find a lot of the tulips already finishing up their season on April 23. BUT we still found quite a few areas with some big, beautiful blooms and it was a peaceful walk with less crowds. There were signs reminding us that more tulips were going to be blooming soon, so maybe wait a week or so if you want to see those new tulips.

Thank you @utahstulipfestival for a fun visit! @thankspoint @theashtongardens #tulipfestival #utahtulipfestival #tulipseason #springinutah #traveltips

It’s was the perfect day to see a rom com and my hubby was a good sport to see a play called “Hallmarked” (NOT his favorite play so far). The play definitely lives up to its name—lots of predictable moments, plot holes, and cheesy lines. 🫤 But when it makes fun of itself, you will laugh and leave feeling lighthearted.
