You will need:
Free Printable Candy Corn Pattern (bottom of post) — best if printed on cardstock paper
3 sheets of gift tissue paper — orange, yellow, and white
scissors
Elmer’s Glue
a pencil with an eraser at the top
I just used the gift tissue paper that I already had. For some reason my white tissue paper had a pinkish tint, since it had been next to the red one for so long, but I think it kinda looks good. Lol! I have also seen party crepe paper used.
- Cut your tissue paper into 2 x 2 inch squares. You can cut more than one sheet at a time or use a paper cutter. This only takes a few minutes. The squares do not have to be perfect.
2. Print off your desired candy corn pattern. There is a Harvest version, a Halloween version, and a blank version without any color names in the candy corn. PRINT on CARDSTOCK.
3. Pour a small amount of glue onto a plate to make an easy work space.
4. Take one square piece of tissue and place it on the eraser end of the pencil. With the eraser in the middle of the square, wrap the tissue around it.
5. Twist the tissue paper if necessary so it looks kind of like this.
6. Dip the end in glue.
7. Stick it down onto your candy corn print. The tissue should stick up a little. It’s okay if it’s a little crinkled too. Repeat with another piece of tissue.
8. Start filling up your candy corn with the different colors of tissue paper. Let the glue dry thoroughly. There is no perfect way to do this. Just enjoy the process.
9. The end result is a fun, colorful, fluffy candy corn. Perfect Halloween or Autumn craft for kids to take home and show their parents.
