Candy Corn Craft and Printables

Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane.  Remember those little tissue paper crafts we used to make in school?  You know the ones with the little squares of tissue paper (or I’ve even seen crepe paper used), and all you needed was glue and a pencil?  I used to love those.  And I feel like every kid should have a chance to make the classic tissue paper craft.  So today I’m showing you how to make this cute Candy Corn Tissue Paper Craft complete with a FREE PRINTABLE pattern (Harvest or Halloween choices!) AND some FREE colorful Candy Corn Quote Prints just for fun.  I think candy corn is one of those things you either love to eat, or love to hate.  But no matter how you feel about the taste of candy corn, you gotta admit that candy corns make some pretty cute crafts.

You will need:

Free Printable Candy Corn Pattern (bottom of post) — best if printed on cardstock paper

3 sheets of gift tissue paper — orange, yellow, and white

scissors

Elmer’s Glue

a pencil with an eraser at the top

I just used the gift tissue paper that I already had.  For some reason my white tissue paper had a pinkish tint, since it had been next to the red one for so long, but I think it kinda looks good.  Lol!  I have also seen party crepe paper used.

  1.  Cut your tissue paper into 2 x 2 inch squares.  You can cut more than one sheet at a time or use a paper cutter.  This only takes a few minutes.  The squares do not have to be perfect.

2.  Print off your desired candy corn pattern.  There is a Harvest version, a Halloween version, and a blank version without any color names in the candy corn.  PRINT on CARDSTOCK.

3.  Pour a small amount of glue onto a plate to make an easy work space.

4. Take one square piece of tissue and place it on the eraser end of the pencil.  With the eraser in the middle of the square, wrap the tissue around it.

5.  Twist the tissue paper if necessary so it looks kind of like this.

6.  Dip the end in glue.

7. Stick it down onto your candy corn print.  The tissue should stick up a little.  It’s okay if it’s a little crinkled too.  Repeat with another piece of tissue.

8.  Start filling up your candy corn with the different colors of tissue paper.  Let the glue dry thoroughly.  There is no perfect way to do this.  Just enjoy the process.

9.  The end result is a fun, colorful, fluffy candy corn.  Perfect Halloween or Autumn craft for kids to take home and show their parents.

It was a miracle how they found him. He was about my age so it made an impression on me. Now this true story has been made into a movie called Faith of Angels. @faithofangelsfilm

Probably one of the best shows I’ve seen at @hal Probably one of the best shows I’ve seen at @halecentretheatre lately!! The Nutty Professor had us laughing all the way to the end and the music was clever and fun. Did you go to 801 Day at @hoglezoo in Utah? Ticket Did you go to 801 Day at @hoglezoo in Utah? Tickets were only $8.01 on 8/01 and the zoo opened at 8:01 am.
I went with my nieces and nephews and it was VERY BUSY! (like Disneyland busy). We arrived about 11 am and every parking lot was completely full and side streets were filling fast. Needless to say we had to walk a bit in the heat just to get to the front gate. There were lines to get in, lines, at snack shops, and definitely a line for the train. BUT we saw some animals—-lions, tigers, bears (oh my!)…plus giraffes, zebras, and a leopard. It was definitely worth $8.01 but it’s not for the faint of heart. A fun adventure! #hoglezoo #801day #familyactivities #hoglezooutah 🐒🐅🦒🐘🦓
So the amount of car wash centers popping up every So the amount of car wash centers popping up everywhere has made me curious. Why are they everywhere?! So we decided to try is and see what the fuss was all about. Here’s the PROS AND CONS we found:

Pros:
• Gentle yet very thorough wash—no scratching!
• Attendants right there to help you
• Fun lights and cool sprayers—it’s like a show!
• Powerful vacuums and extras for detailing

Cons:
• So expensive! This is not your regular $5 car wash.
• They have limited hours. This one closes by 7 pm so no car washing whenever you want
• Kinda an eyesore to have a car wash in every corner in town.

What do you think? What Pros and Cons have you found? Do you like these big car was centers?
