Fall Pear Fruit Salad

Delicious Fall Fruit Salad with pears, blackberries, and pecans.  This pear salad has a hint of cinnamon to to give you all the feels of autumn!

Are you in the mood for a perfectly easy and delicious Fall Pear Fruit Salad?  I came up with this fall fruit salad one September afternoon just as the air was turning crisp for the day.  I had a box full of pears and I wanted to bring something full of autumn flavor to the dinner I was attending that night.  So I combined chopped pears, fresh blackberries, and pecans together.  Then I whipped my cream with some cinnamon to bring out the fall flavor of this easy fruit salad.  You’ll love the combination of flavors in this simple fruit salad recipe and I hope you share it at your next fall festival or it even as a fruit salad for Thanksgiving dinner.

I love autumn time so much.  And easy fall recipes are even more on my list of favorites.  I get sick of making dinner in the summer for some reason.  But when fall comes, I am in the mood to bake, and cook, and create all kinds of fall recipes and comfort food.  Fall is also harvest time, so there’s an abundance of fruits and vegetables.  Some delicious fall fruits are pears, apples, blackberries, peaches, and nectarines–at least in my neck of the woods.

So I hope you enjoy this easy fruit salad recipe.  It’s quick to make, but it still tastes fancy and delicious!  I got some nice compliments on this salad when I brought it to a church gather of women this September.  It makes one excited for autumn time.  If you want a fruit salad that is mostly just pears, try this Pear Perfect Fruit Salad from Live Simply Natural.

How to Make Fall Pear Fruit Salad:

Fall Pear Fruit Salad recipe

This pear fruit salad is full of autumn flavors.  Pears, blackberries, and pecans are classic fall foods to find in autumn recipes.  This fruit salad is covered in delicious whipping cream.  I love using fresh cream, but you can try it with Cool Whip too.  The hint of cinnamon really makes it full of autumn nostalgia, so don’t leave it out!

TIP 1:  Be sure to serve this pear fruit salad immediately.  Because pears go brown so easily, you’ll want to make sure they are well coated in whip cream (you can even add a little lemon juice if you want).  Pears turn brown when they are exposed to air.  Making sure the pears are well coated will help them from going brown too soon.

TIP 2:  As you mix the whipping cream with the fruit, mix GENTLY.  Gentle mixing will keep the blackberries from breaking down and spreading purple color all over your salad.

Fall Pear Fruit Salad ingredients

Here’s the ingredients you need for pear fruit salad:

4-6 medium pears

1 cup fresh blackberries

1 pint whipping cream (or Cool Whip)

1/4 to 1/2 cup of brown sugar (to taste)

1/4 to 1/2 cup white sugar (to taste)

1 TB ground cinnamon

1 cup pecans, chopped or whole

squeeze of lemon juice, optional

  1. Whip your whipping cream in your mixer or with electric beaters.  As it starts to solidify, add the brown sugar and the white sugar.  Use the amount you want to taste.  I used 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of white sugar for the whole pint.  Continue whipping the cream until peaks form.
  2. Add the ground cinnamon to the cream.  It will look lightly speckled and super delicious!
  3. Chop your pears into bite-size chunks.  It’s okay to leave the peel on.
  4. Roughly chop your pecans if you want
  5. Place chopped pears in a large bowl and squeeze a little bit of lemon juice on the pears, if desired.  This will help them from going brown to quickly.
  6. Then add the whipping cream to the pears and mix gently until all the pears are fully covered in cream.
  7. Add blackberries and pecans and mix gently until combined.
  8. Serve immediately.
