Turkey Apple Bacon Wraps

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Are you in a lunch rut?  Stuck with the same old lunch everyday?  I am.  I get so sick of trying to think of new ideas for lunch.  We’ll here’s my latest favorite that we’ve started having lately.  It’s an easy as pie Turkey Apple Bacon Wrap.  What I love about this is that there are so many options to make it how you like it.  For instance, you can get out your smoker (in my case, it’s My Man that smokes the meats around here) and have it with smoked bacon and smoked turkey breast–this is what we had and it is DIVINE.  Or you can use leftover rotisserie chicken to make it quickly and have a Chicken Apple Bacon Wrap.  It’s also a great way to use your leftover Thanksgiving turkey too.  AND you can also make it as healthy as you want it.  I’ll tell ya all about that below.  Enjoy my friends!

Turkey Apple Bacon Wraps

You’ve probably got a lot of these ingredients already at home.  Go check your fridge.  I’ll wait.

Easy Lunch Wraps!

You’ll need tortillas (I used whole wheat), apples, romaine lettuce or your favorite salad greens, bacon, cream cheese spread, and leftover turkey or chicken.  AND HERE’S THE SECRET INGREDIENT (which is not pictured, because I forgot and I’m human):  SEASONED SALT and PEPPER.  Don’t forget these.  You could also just add regular salt and pepper but we loved a little extra seasoning.  You may have another seasoning you love with you wraps, if so, let me know!

Spread a thin layer of the light cream cheese spread.  You can use whipped cream cheese spread, or just the good old tablespoon from your block of cream cheese.  Choose what you like.  I’m trying to eat healthier, so I’m going for the lighter version these days.

Then sprinkle the seasoning salt and the pepper directly onto the cream cheese layer.

Then add all your other items generously so it fits inside your tortilla.  As I said before we LOVE using our Traeger Grill and Smoker to create delicious smoked turkey and bacon.  Oh my goodness I could live on fresh smoked bacon!

Like I said, to make it healthier choose whole wheat tortilla wraps, light cream cheese (or Greek Cream Cheese — which I LOVE by the the way), turkey bacon, and add lots of greens like spinach.

And then roll it up like a burrito wrap and cut diagonally so you can see the overflowing goodness.

Plus the diagonal cut makes it look pretty.

Here’s the recipe my friends.  I hope this recipe refreshes your lunch (or easy dinner) ideas a bit.  Have a BLISSFUL day!

Use leftover Thanksgiving turkey to make this quick, healthy lunch wrap! Made even better with smoked turkey and smoked bacon! You can even use rotisserie chicken or lunch meat. Make it healthier with whole wheat tortilla wraps, light cream cheese, and turkey bacon.

  • Prep Time: 10
  • Total Time: 10
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 Whole Wheat Flour Tortillas (regular works well too)
  • 2 cups of smoked turkey or chicken, diced
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 cups of salad greens (I use romaine lettuce and spinach)
  • 1 apple, cored and diced
  • 8 TB of cream cheese spread (whipped or light work well)
  • seasoning salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Spread 1-2 TB of cream cheese on each tortilla wrap. A thin layer is all you need. Sprinkle seasoning salt and pepper to taste, directly onto the cream cheese. Add 1/2 cup of turkey or chicken, 1/4 of the diced apples, 1/2 cup of salad greens, and 1 slice of bacon (crumbled) to each wrap. Roll up the wrap and slice diagonally in half. Serve immediately or save in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

It was a miracle how they found him. He was about my age so it made an impression on me. Now this true story has been made into a movie called Faith of Angels. @faithofangelsfilm

Did you go to 801 Day at @hoglezoo in Utah? Ticket Did you go to 801 Day at @hoglezoo in Utah? Tickets were only $8.01 on 8/01 and the zoo opened at 8:01 am.
I went with my nieces and nephews and it was VERY BUSY! (like Disneyland busy). We arrived about 11 am and every parking lot was completely full and side streets were filling fast. Needless to say we had to walk a bit in the heat just to get to the front gate. There were lines to get in, lines, at snack shops, and definitely a line for the train. BUT we saw some animals—-lions, tigers, bears (oh my!)…plus giraffes, zebras, and a leopard. It was definitely worth $8.01 but it’s not for the faint of heart. A fun adventure! #hoglezoo #801day #familyactivities #hoglezooutah 🐒🐅🦒🐘🦓

• Kinda an eyesore to have a car wash in every corner in town.

What do you think? What Pros and Cons have you found? Do you like these big car was centers?
