#LIGHTtheWORLD Visit the Lonely Service Kit

For me a huge part of Christmas is TIME.  Time with family.  Time with friends.  Time to do good things.  Time to think about my Savior Jesus Christ.  It’s building life-long memories. It’s helping those around us who need it.  And the crazy thing is that TIME is what I seem to have the least of during the holidays and yet I want it most of all.  So today I’m sharing with you an idea from Kiwi in the Clouds about ways to spread kindness no matter what amount of time you have and it includes some FREE Christmas Printables for you! {get all these free printables at the BOTTOM of this post}

This year, there’s a wonderful video from mormon.org that shares the message of service and love called #LIGHTtheWORLD. Take a quick minute to watch it now; it’s beautiful!
This video has inspired me to take action this year and spread the mission of Christlike service and use my time more wisely. I love the idea of visiting the lonely and I’m so excited to share this special free printable pack from Sam at The Kiwi in the Clouds.  It’s a collection of printables that will help you and your family bring joy to someone special who might be feeling a little alone this holiday season. It’s easy to put together and a great activity for families.
I’m excited to that Sam has allowed me to share all of her Christmas printables for this project here on my site for FREE!!  Even if you’re short on time, there’s something everyone can do this Christmas season!  Here’s ideas for things you can do whether you have 10 minutes for a whole hour.

Have 10 Minutes?

If your schedule is already jam-packed, don’t let this stop you from serving others. All it takes is 10 minutes to get this pack ready for giving! Just print out the coloring pages and the Christmas card, have the kids do their color it in, sign the card, and you’re done. It’s a fast but thoughtful gift to someone who needs a boost.

Have 20 minutes?

That’s enough time to do something awesome! Use the coloring pages, Christmas card, and the matching gift card holder to brighten a family, friend or even a stranger’s day. I love giving Amazon gift cards, Target gift cards or local restaurant gift cards to people I don’t know well.  Surprise them!

Have 60 minutes?

Perfect! You and your family will spend the extra time on a fun outing to buy items to put in a gift basket for the person you’re visiting. There’s a free printable tag to tie it all together too. Don’t forget to use the Christmas card and coloring pages as well.

Want To Go The Extra Mile?

Nothing says you care quite like giving someone your precious time. For those that really want to make an impact, there’s also a bonus free printable game for your kids and the person you’re visiting to play together! Drop off your goodies and spend a few minutes making memories and having fun.
No matter which option you choose, you’re sure to bring a smile to someone’s face!

It was a miracle how they found him. He was about my age so it made an impression on me. Now this true story has been made into a movie called Faith of Angels. @faithofangelsfilm

Did you go to 801 Day at @hoglezoo in Utah? Ticket Did you go to 801 Day at @hoglezoo in Utah? Tickets were only $8.01 on 8/01 and the zoo opened at 8:01 am.
I went with my nieces and nephews and it was VERY BUSY! (like Disneyland busy). We arrived about 11 am and every parking lot was completely full and side streets were filling fast. Needless to say we had to walk a bit in the heat just to get to the front gate. There were lines to get in, lines, at snack shops, and definitely a line for the train. BUT we saw some animals—-lions, tigers, bears (oh my!)…plus giraffes, zebras, and a leopard. It was definitely worth $8.01 but it’s not for the faint of heart. A fun adventure! #hoglezoo #801day #familyactivities #hoglezooutah 🐒🐅🦒🐘🦓
So the amount of car wash centers popping up every So the amount of car wash centers popping up everywhere has made me curious. Why are they everywhere?! So we decided to try is and see what the fuss was all about. Here’s the PROS AND CONS we found:

Pros:
• Gentle yet very thorough wash—no scratching!
• Attendants right there to help you
• Fun lights and cool sprayers—it’s like a show!
• Powerful vacuums and extras for detailing

Cons:
• So expensive! This is not your regular $5 car wash.
• They have limited hours. This one closes by 7 pm so no car washing whenever you want
• Kinda an eyesore to have a car wash in every corner in town.

What do you think? What Pros and Cons have you found? Do you like these big car was centers?
