It’s Monday, and I am so not in the mood to make a big dinner after the weekend. My Grandma and my mom often made these super satisfying Old Fashioned Sloppy Joes. The recipe uses Campbell’s Chicken Gumbo Soup, so I call them Gumbo Sloppy Joes. They are a quick and tasty way to feed a bunch of kids on a busy night so that is why I also call them Lunch Lady Sloppy Joes. THIS IS SO EASY. Enjoy!

These Gumbo Sloppy Joes are so EASY that’s why the lunch ladies love it! This is all you need–Campbell’s Chicken Gumbo Soup, a pound of hamburger, ketchup, and mustard.
Brown and crumble your hamburger meat. Add the can of gumbo soup (no need to add extra water). Add in a generous squirt of ketchup and mustard. How much you add is your decision. I use about 1-2 TB of each. Stir it all together and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Serve on hamburger buns and you are good to go!

1-2 TB of Ketchup
1-2 TB of Mustard
salt and pepper to taste
