HEAVENLY MORSELS: The easiest cookie you’ll ever make

It’s holiday cookie time!  I’m sharing with you one of my family’s favorite Christmas cookies.  They are called HEAVENLY MORSELS.  It’s a vintage recipe from my Granny. We make them every year, not just because they are scrumptious and chewy, but because they are sooooo simple.  These cookies take only 3 ingredients.  THREE!  The holidays are busy enough.   My Granny used to make these cookies.  Then My Mama made them every Christmas.  Now I make them too.  (I’m so glad Granny didn’t pass down a complicated recipe–KUDOS to Granny!).

These Heavenly Morsels cookies are chewy and soft and I love the shiny texture.

Here is what you need to make Heavenly Morsels:

1 pkg of chocolate chips
 16 whole graham crackers
 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Watch my YouTube video of me making these Heavenly Morsels

{CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE VIDEO}

Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs.
I put mine in a ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin.

Mix sweetened milk and the chocolate chips in a bowl.   When chocolate chips are coated, add the crumbs.
(I didn’t show this exactly . . . I wanted you to see all 3 ingredients together.  So make sure you mix the first two before the crumbs are added).  I mix it all by hand with a spoon.

You will end up with a sticky batter. (Make sure all the crumbs are wet and gooey)

Drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.  The cookies spread and look shiny (like they are not done, but they really are).  They harden quickly and turn chewy when you pull them out of the oven.  They freeze well.  I make them early in December, freeze ’em, and pull them out again on Christmas Eve.

Mmmmm.  A simple morsel of heaven.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!

FUN DATE NIGHT IDEA! @warehouse22utah Cinebites br FUN DATE NIGHT IDEA! @warehouse22utah Cinebites brings you dinner and a movie at the same time!

Enjoy a themed dinner while you watch a fun movie. The menu goes a long with the movie and is served to you while you are watching the scene it relates to. We saw Holes (which we love!) but there are many others to choose from. Our menu had a fun drinks, appetizers, main course, sides, and dessert. I left satisfied and had a fun time with my hubby and our friends.

Purchase tickets online. Seating is first come, first served so arrive early if you want a certain seat (though there isn’t a bad seat at all). Let me know if you try this!

Date night with my hubby @amctheatres to see @thes Date night with my hubby @amctheatres to see @thesheepdetectives … Fun, quirky movie, (kinda like Babe but really like no other movie I’ve seen before). Definitely full of kid vibes but adults will like it too. A who-dun-it mystery. We laughed out loud a lot more than we expected!

Are you wondering if the Thanksgiving Point Festiv Are you wondering if the Thanksgiving Point Festival is worth visiting this year? Here’s a look at what we saw today.

We’ve had a lot of up and down weather so I wasn’t surprised to find a lot of the tulips already finishing up their season on April 23. BUT we still found quite a few areas with some big, beautiful blooms and it was a peaceful walk with less crowds. There were signs reminding us that more tulips were going to be blooming soon, so maybe wait a week or so if you want to see those new tulips.

Thank you @utahstulipfestival for a fun visit! @thankspoint @theashtongardens #tulipfestival #utahtulipfestival #tulipseason #springinutah #traveltips

Valentine’s Day with my man at the NEW Miller Fami Valentine’s Day with my man at the NEW Miller Family Beehive Stage @halecentretheatre . It’s was the perfect day to see a rom com and my hubby was a good sport to see a play called “Hallmarked” (NOT his favorite play so far). The play definitely lives up to its name—lots of predictable moments, plot holes, and cheesy lines. 🫤 But when it makes fun of itself, you will laugh and leave feeling lighthearted.
Leave your questions in the comments section if you want to more of my thoughts about this new play. #halecentertheater #thingstodoinutah #emptynesterlife #valentinesdaydate #familytravelideas
