Monkey Bread Muffins

Wahoo!  Today I am one super, lucky blog lady to be on Momma’s Meals Feature Friday!  She is making one of my recipes today.  So head over there and see if she enjoyed my recipe {HERE}.  She’s got tons of recipes on her blog that you may want to try also.  In return, I decided to make one of her yummies.  I made Momma’s Meals Monkey Bread Muffins.  They were gone in seconds.  Everyone loved ’em.  Here’s what I did:

Monkey Bread Muffins from Momma’s Meals

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (I used cinnamon and it was a smart move for a substitute)

1/4 cup white sugar
1 (16 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough jumbo size, separated and cut into nine pieces each (I actually used a pizza crust I had in my fridge, I was hesitant on how it would taste but it was awesome!)
SAUCE:
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon water
Combine the brown sugar, butter, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Allow the mixture to boil until the sugar is completely dissolved, 2 to 3 minutes.

My kidlets ate these up right away!

I didn’t have refrigerator dough, but I did have frozen bread dough that worked great!

I set the frozen dough balls out to thaw until they were soft, but still cold. (I used 18 balls)

Baby Girl helped me.  It’s actually a very kid-friendly recipe.

We divided all the dough balls into two.

So we now had double the amount of dough balls.
Tossed them in cinnamon and a little sugar.
Stuffed them in the muffin pan.  Baby Girl loved this part.
Made the sauce as Momma said.

Pour it over the dough balls.

Bake at 375 until golden.  I baked mine for about 15-20 mins.
Seriously yummy.
Thanks to Momma’s Meal for this great recipe!
