How To Make 3 Ingredient Fluffy Slime

How to make easy, 3-ingredient fluffy slime that’s not sticky!

My daughter has been bugging me for the past month to make homemade slime with her.  I was hesitant.  There are so many DIY slime recipes and homemade gak and goop out there and I just did not know where to start.  I didn’t want a big mess and I didn’t want to have to go search for expensive or hard to find ingredients just for this one little slime recipe.  So I did a huge Pinterest search.  I tried a couple of other recipes and ended up with an unwanted yucky mess.  FINALLY, I found a great recipe for homemade fluffy slime that only uses 3 ingredients!  And it’s not super messy AND the end result is not sticky–yes, I said NOT STICKY.  Hallelujah.  So I’m passing this easy slime recipe on to you (thank you very much!) so you don’t have to go through what I did.  Here’s how to make easy 3 ingredient fluffy slime that is quick and NOT sticky.  But beware, your kidlet is not the only person who is gonna want to play with this stuff.  I’ve found DIY fluffy slime to be very mesmerizing to play with too.

The other good thing about this fluffy slime is that it only takes a few minutes to  make and none of the ingredients are hard to clean up or find.

Here’s what you’ll need to make 3 Ingredient Fluffy Slime:

1/2 cup of Elmer’s GLUE-ALL Glue (I think the GLUE-ALL kind works the best)

1  1/2 cups of shaving cream

2  1/2 TB of contact saline solution with boric acid (you may need a little more solution depending on the consistency of your slime)

I created a video with basic directions for this slime.  You can also use the detailed instructions below.

You will need a medium-sized bowl, a stirring tool (we used a plastic spatula), a measuring cup, a Tablespoon, and some food coloring to add a pop of color to your slime.

Measure out all the Elmer’s glue, and pour it into the bowl.

Add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture.  We usually use 2-3 drops, it just depends on how dark you want the mixture to be.

Make sure all the food coloring is mixed in.

Measure out the shaving cream into the cup, and dump it into the bowl.  There is no need for this to be precise, just get it as close as you can.

Stir the shaving cream into the mixture.  It will start to look FLUFFY!

Add the contact solution a little bit at a time.  This is what keeps the fluffy slime together and helps it not be sticky.  It’s very important that you use contact saline solution that contains boric acid.  Use more or less as needed for your slime.

Continue to stir the mixture until it doesn’t stick to the edge of the bowl anymore.  The slime should start to clump together and form a ball.

Knead the slime with your hands as well.  This will help it all get mixed well.  At first it will be a little sticky, but as you knead the slime it will get less sticky.  Add just a bit more contact solution if needed if it’s too sticky.

The slime should not stick to your hands after you’re done stirring and kneading.

Now the slime is ready for play!  It’s super fun to handle for kids and adults!  I even caught My Man playing with it.

The slime can be pulled and twisted into all sorts of shapes.

You can store in an airtight container and it will last a day or two.

FUN DATE NIGHT IDEA! @warehouse22utah Cinebites br FUN DATE NIGHT IDEA! @warehouse22utah Cinebites brings you dinner and a movie at the same time!

Enjoy a themed dinner while you watch a fun movie. The menu goes a long with the movie and is served to you while you are watching the scene it relates to. We saw Holes (which we love!) but there are many others to choose from. Our menu had a fun drinks, appetizers, main course, sides, and dessert. I left satisfied and had a fun time with my hubby and our friends.

Purchase tickets online. Seating is first come, first served so arrive early if you want a certain seat (though there isn’t a bad seat at all). Let me know if you try this!

Definitely full of kid vibes but adults will like it too. A who-dun-it mystery. We laughed out loud a lot more than we expected!

Are you wondering if the Thanksgiving Point Festiv Are you wondering if the Thanksgiving Point Festival is worth visiting this year? Here’s a look at what we saw today.

We’ve had a lot of up and down weather so I wasn’t surprised to find a lot of the tulips already finishing up their season on April 23. BUT we still found quite a few areas with some big, beautiful blooms and it was a peaceful walk with less crowds. There were signs reminding us that more tulips were going to be blooming soon, so maybe wait a week or so if you want to see those new tulips.

Thank you @utahstulipfestival for a fun visit! @thankspoint @theashtongardens #tulipfestival #utahtulipfestival #tulipseason #springinutah #traveltips

Valentine’s Day with my man at the NEW Miller Fami Valentine’s Day with my man at the NEW Miller Family Beehive Stage @halecentretheatre . It’s was the perfect day to see a rom com and my hubby was a good sport to see a play called “Hallmarked” (NOT his favorite play so far). The play definitely lives up to its name—lots of predictable moments, plot holes, and cheesy lines. 🫤 But when it makes fun of itself, you will laugh and leave feeling lighthearted.
