So summer is coming and the kidlets are gonna be bored . . . at least some of the time. You’ll have already taken them swimming, had friends over to play, made homemade popsicles, joined the library summer programs, and done the latest cool pin on Pinterest with them. But there’s still 5 hours of daylight left!!!!!!
So you turn to video games and movies. The saving grace of media comes to the rescue again.
Yes, I’ve been there and done that. And will be doing it this summer too. However, I have this idea that giving kids educational media instead of Sponge Bob (no offense to the big fans out there) takes away tons of the guilt that my kidlets’ brains are melting.

ABCmouse is perfect for toddler, preschoolers, and Kindergarteners. It’s geared specifically for your child’s level. We’ve done a lot of educational computer games, and this is one of the best I’ve seen.
They have a little avatar that you can customize to look like and name after your child. Every time you come back to play, they welcome you by saying, “Welcome back, Baby Girl!” and she loves hearing her name. The avatar has a room to play in that your child can buy things for by saving up tickets. Each game or activity they play earns them some tickets. They also have an aquarium and hamster cage. They can earn tickets to buy things for their pets. Baby Girl LOVES saving her tickets and shopping. It’s better than Webkinz for this age group.
There’s a classroom too with your very own teacher. They have all subjects: READING, MATH, ART AND COLORS, THE WORLD, MUSIC, LIBRARY, PUZZLES, GAMES. There are fun progress charts to help you and your child keep track of where they are. They can even visit the ZOO or the FARM. There’s a whole world for them to explore.
Every game and activity is geared for your child to learn something, but they don’t really notice because they are so interactive and well-made.
There is so much to do on ABCmouse that your child will be busy all summer! Get them ready for pre-K or Kindergarten with this great site! It’s a SAFE and SMART way for kids to use the computer. They also have apps for you devices as well!
