Why We Give Gifts to Our Dogs
Growing up I had a vivacious little mutt named Lucky. We named our dog Lucky because during a quick trip to the grocery store on a Saturday morning, my Dad and my older sister saw a man with a little black and white pup on inside a cardboard box labeled “FREE”. The owner told us the if we didn’t take the dog, he would be going to the pound that day. So after a few pay phone calls to my mom to make sure it was okay, my dad came home with our first-ever puppy. Since we saved him from the pound, we naturally had to call him Lucky. When lucky died about 10 or so years later, my entire family wept.
The dogs in our lives give us love unconditionally. They provide friendship when no one else will. Dogs truly are a gift from God.
My own children enjoyed having a rambunctious Golden Retriever, named Honey, when they were little. Honey was not found in a grocery box that was labeled FREE. She was far from free. She brought a lot of craziness and joy to our lives. But no matter how you find your little dog, man’s best friend is really one of life’s greatest gifts. So here’s some fun and unique chew toys to give the dogs in your life that bring us so much joy.
Unique Chew Toys for Dogs
1. Bully Sticks
Almost all dogs love a good chew toy. How about giving him a bully stick? Bully sticks are highly digestible and full of protein for you little pup. And an even better way to make bully sticks a safe and healthy treat is to get a subscription of bully sticks from BowWow Labs. These bully sticks are safe with the use of the Bow Wow Buddy that helps prevent your dog from choking of the last little piece of chew stick.
2. Frozen Dog Treat Holder
Another fun chew toy for dogs is a frozen dog treat holder. The freezer tray allows you to freeze your dog’s favorite treat food (like peanut butter) without the mess. Then you simply insert the frozen treat into the holder and give yourself some free time while your dog gets some playtime!
3. Stuffed Chew Toy for Dogs
Sometimes it’s fun to give your little furry friend a stuffed chew toy. I like these Fat Cat Gruntley Mini Dog Toys from Petmate. The colors on any stuffed chew toy can be so fun and many of them squeak or make fun noises–like these pigs grunt!
4. Teeth-Cleaning Squeaky Toy for Dogs
We’ve all seen squeaky toys for dogs, but how about a durable and fun squeaky chew toy for dogs like this Teeth Chew Corn Squeak Toy for dogs. This one is bright, and meant for aggressive chewers. It’s unique zig-zag design helps brush your dogs teeth while he chews!
5. A New Take on the Old Dog Bone
And finally, last but not least there’s a lot of dog bones out there that make wonderful chew toys for dogs, but how about looking for a new kind of dog bone? Try this cute Nylabone Power Chew Broccoli Dog Toy. It probably won’t turn your dog into a veggie lover since the flavor is bacon and cheese flavor, but it sure is cute and will mostly likely make pet owners smile.
I hope this info helps you find the best chew toy for your dog! Thanks for visiting!
