I love the Olympics music, I love the drama, I love the stories and the sportsmanship. So naturally I would love to celebrate the Olympics with an Olympics watching party! I also think it is a fun way to teach kids about the Olympics and about teamwork and coming together. Let’s hope the Olympics always continue as a reminder of peace among nations and people coming together.

This year it is the Summer Olympics of 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. Even though it is technically 2021 now, the Olympics are officially carrying the year 2020 in their title since they had to be postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. So this year is all about gymnastics, swimming, and track and field for me!

For these Olympics treats you will need:
Reese’s Miniature Peanut Butter Cups (with the GOLD foil wrapper)
Ribbon (3/8 inch size works great)
Tape
Scissors
Instructions:
Using scissors, cut a 3 to 4 inch piece of ribbon. Loop the ribbon so that the two ends come together as shown. Tape the two ends together onto the back side of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup miniature. Make sure the ribbon is nice and secure on the back to the peanut butter cup. Use more tape if needed. And then that’s it! Repeat as desired. A large array of these cute Olympic medals is a fun idea!
