It’s the New Year and many of us are trying to be a little more healthy this year. I’ve been working on my health for a long time, actually. It’s a process and something parents and kids can both work on as a family to keep everyone feeling healthy and strong. I really want to be around for my kids for a long time–I want to see their weddings, right? So today I’m sharing some really cool health and doctor apps to help keep us all motivated in being healthier this year.

5 Cool Health Apps for Moms:
Record Doctor Visits with Abridge (For Moms)
Have you ever been to a doctor’s visit and received important advice or help, but then as soon as you got home you forgot all that the doctor told you? If so than this app is for you! Instead of trying to remember to take notes or just trying to remember everything your doctor said, use the Abridge app to help you record and organize your doctor visit information so you can remember all the details. Be sure to check out these FAQs about recording doctor visits, and as a rule of thumb it’s a good idea to let your doctor know you are recording him/her.
Workouts for Women (For Moms)
This is probably my most favorite health app! I love this app so much and use it pretty much once or twice a week! This app is loaded with workouts that you can easily do at home or while you are traveling. There are workouts for all different areas of your body and they include different amounts of time and intensity levels. So if you are just looking for a quick workout while you watch TV or an intense one in the morning before work, this app is so helpful! It shows you how to do each move and you can connect your music or podcast to play at the same time. I LOVE THIS APP.
MyFitnessPal (For Moms)
If you haven’t tried MyFitnessPal by now, then I say it’s about time! You can download it for free and get tons of good nutrition help and fitness info from just using the free version. I love using this app to keep track of what I am eating and how much water I am drinking. It can also be connected to your phone’s health app or other fitness apps to keep track of your steps and other exercises. There are paid plans for higher levels of help. But I’ve been just fine using the free one so far.
What To Expect Pregnancy Tracker (for Moms)
For expecting mothers, this is a must-have app to keep you on track during your pregnancy. I loved the What To Expect When Your Expecting books when I was pregnant because they are so full of information and details that help you understand your growing baby. Having the app on your phone is a no-brainer. You’ll get personalized content based on your due date including the latest health information and access to a community of other moms-to-be.
Finally, if you are looking for some help to better understand food labels and nutrition, The Weight Loss Academy will do just that. You can scan a nutrition label and this app will help you understand just how healthy it is, including added sugars, trans fats, msg, and additives and preservatives. It will give your food a grade and suggest healthier foods for you.
So this little list will give a you a quick start to understanding your health better this year. May you find peace and motivation in all of you new years goals.
