So I’ve been babysitting my darling niece for a whole week. She’s 2. And my good friend has been visiting with her darling 2 year old as well. It’s been so fun, and yet so different. Diapers, sticky fingers, cute phrases, lots of hugs, tantrums, overuse of the word “no”, endless energy, messes, and snuggles.
Wow, how quickly I have forgotten (probably on purpose) how challenging and yet CUTE the 2 year old stage is. It reminds me of how much I’ve survived with my 3 kidlets. I’ve decided that 2 year olds are BABIES WITH OPINIONS. They are as cute as the baby and still need constant care, but now they have ideas of their own. Then you add in the walking and getting into everything too. What a combination.
So to all you mothers of 2 year olds out there, I want to THANK YOU FOR BEING AMAZING. Thank you for changing the world, one little person at a time.
