How to make easy cereal treats when you don’t have any marshmallows in the house!
Ingredients
Scale
1 cup white sugar
1 cup light corn syrup (Karo Syrup)
1–2 TB of butter (or you can use 1 cup of peanut butter if it fits the flavor of your cereal)
7 cups of cereal
Instructions
Bring the sugar, corn syrup, and butter to boil in a large pan (if using peanut butter just set it aside and add after the boiling is done). Sitr constantly and let it boil only 1 minute. Remove from heat (add peanut butter here) and add in your cereal. Stir well to coat all the cereal. Press mixture into a greased cookie sheet or casserole dish. Let cool for a few minutes and then serve immediately.
Notes
This recipe hardens faster than your typical cereal treat. Be sure to eat within a few hours.
