Happy Green Day!
Okay, time for something fun! Let’s think about St. Patrick’s Day, shall we?
Last year I decided to finally celebrate March 17th with my kidlets for the first time ever. It was a Saturday and My Man was gone all day working. So I decided to create an “I”M SO LUCKY” Party complete with a Leprechaun Lunch for my kidlets. I just wanted to show them how much I adore them.
Sometimes we are so proud of our children and we think they are awesome for so many reasons BUT we FORGET TO TELL THEM. So this is one way to remind them of your love.
As you can see, it doesn’t take a lot to get this going. Paper, markers, and A LOT of GREEN.
Our Green MENU:
Lucky Charms Cereal
Green Milk (reg milk with food coloring)
Green Applesauce
Broccoli (because it’s the only green veggie they love!)
Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid
Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies
Green M&Ms
Then I gave each child a little bag with a few super simple prizes from places like the dollar store. Also, earlier in the week we had a Family Home Evening about what our true treasures were along with a little learning treasure hunt game. It sort of kicked off the whole theme.
These turned out beautifully just like the tutorial on Babble and they are fun to make.
Have fun with it! With a little planning and some food coloring, you can make it fairly easy. If you want it to be even easier, wear green and order pizza and drink green soda instead!
Children just love that parents spend time with them.
